JULIE HARRIS - CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Julie is Chief Executive at COSMIC and has a key role leading in the business development and strategic planning of its future. She is passionate about ensuring that services are of the highest quality and that social objectives remain high on the agenda - for businesses, community organisations and individuals alike, and especially for young people. Julie has been with COSMIC for 10 years and in that time she has worked in a variety of management and development roles including leading in the launch of major new projects and services. She is a keen follower of ICT and its effect on society, and is a major advocate of social enterprise and social accounting. Julie is currently Chair of RISE the regional organisation which supports social enterprises in the South West, and is currently studying on the MA Leadership Studies programme with Exeter University.

SARAH STEVENSON - OPERATIONS MANAGER
Sarah manages the day-to-day operation for all services at COSMIC. She has worked with COSMIC for 5 years and in that time has developed a keen sense of how we should provide businesses, organisations, adults and young people with the training, services and support they need to progress in our modern world, using IT. Outside of work Sarah is studying for an MSc in Rural Development and prior to joining the company she gained a BSc in Tourism & Business Managment and also spent 5 years working in marketing and PR.
ROB FRENCH - TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
Rob is responsible for looking after the hardware, software, networks and servers which keep the company ticking. He is your man if you want to have a domain name registered or email configured and has an extensive knowledge of internet services and software support. Rob also provides technical support both to the company and its clients in a wide range of hardware and software matters. With a keen eye on new developments in the use of technology, Rob plays a key role in looking for new opportunities and enhancement of services which the company has to offer its clients.
GARY EBSWORTH - WEBSITE PROGRAMMER
Gary leads the web team in the development and programming of new web solutions for our clients. With a wide range of skills across bespoke and Open Source technologies, Gary is able to support clients in finding the right system for their needs, and is keen to encourage people to consider new ways of engaging online visitors through a whole range of interactive features. Skilled in supporting CMS, e-commerce, multimedia and knowledge-base systems, Gary brings an advanced level of knowledge and experience to all our major web projects.
BEN MAYO SMITH - WEBSITE DESIGNER
Ben is our website developer and is responsible for design, creation and production of websites from initial client contact through to the final construction and launch. Ben has a degree in Graphic Design and many years of experience in website production within the company having been on the team since 1998. He has been responsible for the production of websites for businesses and organisations locally, regionally and nationally and provides ongoing support to our website clients.
PETE GOFF - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Pete leads on marketing and sales, and works closely with the web team in engaging new clients in our services. He is also our resident customer care expert; dealing with all enquiries and providing advice and support to all clients. He has an enthusiasm for ensuring that all clients get a high quality experience whilst they are with COSMIC. Pete has a degree in Graphic Design:Illustration and heads up our Design for Print service. He has a key role in marketing and developing new advertising and promotional projects, including the design of the COSMIC logo.
KIM REYNOLDS - FINANCE AND MARKETING
Kim joined the COSMIC team in 2003. Kim looks after the finances and marketing needs of the company and brings her warm and friendly style into all her dealing with the company’s clients. Kim looks after all invoicing, payments and clients' enquiries and at the same time oversees the organisation of marketing and advertising. Kim has a degree in Geography and Countryside Management and has travelled extensively prior to joining the COSMIC team. Kim has a keen interest in environmental sustainability and is developing Cosmic’s environmental policy as well as steering Cosmic forward towards the BS8555 environmental standard.
MENNA WILLIAMS - IT TRAINER
Menna is an IfL registered and PGCE qualified ICT teacher; Menna has several years experience of working as a PA in local government and business. Menna specialises in delivering ICT and business-related qualifications and training programmes and for the past ten years has worked as an ICT Lecturer in Further Education, delivering accredited qualifications such as NVQ modules in Business Studies, Office Administration and Key Skills. She also works in Adult and Community Education delivering the ECDL qualification to level 3. Menna is a very approachable and cheerful person who enjoys working with learners of all ages and abilities.
ANDY THOMPSON - IT TRAINER
Andy joined COSMIC in 2004 from mainstream education where he worked with children with special needs. Andy is IfL registered and has a 'Foundation degree' in teaching at FE. Andy is Cosmic's main trainer and runs most of our courses including our CMS website training sessions. Andy is a railway historian, published poet and a very keen amateur photographer, having had photos featured and currently two railway pages on the BBC website! He is fun, creative, innovative and tolerant and brings a positive enthusiasm to training sessions, teasing out skills from people - skills they never knew they had!
MIKE MACCOY - IT TRAINER
Mike joined COSMIC in September 2007 as a contract IT Trainer, involved in delivering Explore IT and other scheduled trainings. He comes from many years in Africa and the last 9 on the Devon/Dorset border where he has not only taught IT at various levels to various groups of people, but also built up a service to individuals as a "Personal IT Tutor". He relishes the interaction between people and thrives on seeing them progress at their own level and speed. He has a wide range of experience in teaching IT as well as the technical aspects that befuddle most people.
