Explore IT is a introductory course to using computers. The 'Starter' sessions aim to raise your confidence levels and get you started on subjects such as Emailing, Surfing the Net, Word Processing, Digital Storage and using a Digital Camera - all done using 'Gmail, 'Internet Explorer', 'Word' and 'Picasa' With each course you get your very own course manual, which you can fill with notes, take away and use at home; a resource to jog your memory once the course has finished!
If your group or organisation needs training, come to us, we have room for 8 at a time or we'll come to you! The sessions are aimed at those with little or no experience on computers, so you will be learning in a group of people with similar abilities - learn together and ask as many questions as you need to! - Read some Testimonials
Explore IT! Mains
The follow-on course from the 'Starters' course is called 'Explore IT Main Course' and over six weeks will cover the subjects in more depth and introduce you to subjects such as 'Spreadsheets', 'Digital Presentations' and 'Photoshop'. It's ideal for anyone who has grasped the basics and would like to know more!
We even have an 'Explore IT in One Day' session, a one day ‘computer taster’ course. giving:
- Taste IT – an introduction to the computer
- Write IT – an introduction to word processing
- Surf IT – an introduction to the net
- Count IT – an introduction to working with numbers on the computer
- Send IT – get set up with your very own email address
