The National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) is an entirely voluntary organisation keeping a visual watch along UK shores.
The NCI approached COSMIC following on from an ICT audit workshop they attended at COSMIC - to develop a new website incorporating main organisational admin issues and drawing the many different web presences of individual lookouts into one cohesive web presence.
COSMIC developed a complex Content Mangement System including; allowing each lookout station to have their own micro site within the larger NCI website that they edit themselves, an online shop, a central document store, a rosters system and much more.
